In this series I’ve snatch up furniture and freebees left on the street or in shared hallways. The arrangements seek a state of imbalance and vulnerability. Remnants and debris shift the emphasis to the larger space of the room and the ongoing process of remaking and change.

Using the materials in uncanny ways is also a way to celebrate chance and serendipity, a way to trick myself into new understandings. I look for ways to disorient the perspective, humored and excited by the simple tricks that can so easily deceive but also initiate the desire to understand.
